If Emma wears that new outfit when going to party at Blaze, ok. But not everyday or at work. Looks like she skipped a phase.
So quick list of changes:
- Her hair has grown out and she no longer has the side shaved
- She's wearing more makeup
- Her earrings are no longer studs, but larger hoops similar to Lena's charisma outfit
- She is now wearing a choker similar to Lena's
- The top she wore to the club makes it's return
- Her normal shorts have been palette swapped to pink.
- She's wearing nail polish
- She now has fishnets coming out of her thigh high stockings.
- Her thigh high stockings return from when she went to the club.
I guess the couple of questions I have regarding this change, that we'll find out:
- Will it be entirely on what Ian and Lena have encouraged, disregarding if she has hooked up with Perry?
- What does telling her, her sense of style is lacking do?
- Will she go back to the dress?
- Her normal outfit?
- Another outfit entirely?
- Is the whore look tied to Ian degrading her during sex at the beach house?
- Will she have a different appearance if Ian says he preferred her hotter, but didn't degrade her?
- How much influence will Lena have on Emma's style going forward? It's been relatively Ian dominated so far, but Emma has asked Lena her opinion several times.
- Did she trade her side shave for shaved pubic hair?

I'm joining the choir of complaints here, dressing "hot" always means the same thing with EK, like the character has to drop a piece of their identity to get there. There are tons of ways you could sexy up a punk/tomboy look without going full prostitute.
Yeah... Emma's original look was hot and sexy as fuck. Having her in heels and heavier make-up is just gilding the lily.

Normally, I'd say you wouldn't have to worry about it from Emma. But damn me if she hasn't dove head first into this whole "I want to update my appearance" phase.
So this isn't necessarily directed at you, more towards everyone complaining about the outfit. Beyond "it's a porn game" there has always been a sort of heightened reality to this game. The same heightened reality that existed in GGGB, it's just been more subtle in this game. In fact, I'd actually say EK toned it down some when they made the sweeping changes around chapter 7 and 8's release and it's only just started to ratchet back up to comedic levels. But Emma's change here is a result of it being a porn game, and the heightened reality of the game. Treating her like a whore throughout chapter 12, makes her dress like a whore in chapter 13. Just like encouraging Holly to be slutty all game results in a glory hole gang bang. Just like Ash can go from a normal girl to a BBC cum dump in a matter of months from EK's previous game. (Yes, GGGB entire story takes place in just under a year)
I'm not a huge fan of how EK does slutty outfits either, but it gets the point across that these are the changes we as players have invoked in these characters. It's probably a compromise in ability / ease to draw the changes in different poses and looking slutty / hot. It's also whiplash from Emma asking Lena if she should change her appearance, then dawning the dress, and then potentially switching to this outfit. BUT, this was a big narrative point for her too, which is why EK can get away with a major overhaul. The beach house was the end of the Will They / Won't They storyline between Emma and Perry. This is potentially the result of the They Won't.
