i think you misunderstood. the crying came from people who hated the ntr in his previous game. he had to make the disclaimer to calm people down.
You won't understand because you're labeling all cucks under the same umbrella there's several schools of cuckdom some at polar opposite perspectives.
1) the one you're most familiar with and clumping all them with those that get off to their partner being taken from them.
2) Those that self insert or identify with the person doing the cucking and they see it as stealing the underappreciated girl and giving her the time she deserves
3) voyeurs that just want something spicy they don't really identify with anyone they just want something spicy.
4) Corruption/Moral Degeneration fans that are mostly unaware they don't actually like ntr what they like is that NTR stories often employ themes of corruption or moral degeneration so they flock to NTR because that's where these days a bulk of their stories take place. They may or may not be aware of this, all they want however is to watch the girl fall and revel in that, they may selfinsert/identify with thinking they did it but this isn't everyone.
If it's not obvious which I am based on where all my detail went, though I wouldn't even say I'm an ntr fan, that kind of corruption is too overdone at this point.

Bruh what are you talking about? That's the exact opposite of what happened. Read my comment again, dev had to put the disclaimer because whenever he would post about the development of this game he'd get a bunch of commenters (usually westerners) literally crying and begging him for the game to have NTR. Literally go to his ci-en page and look at the posts and you can see this for yourself.
and if there is a game with ntr you'll have at least twice as many people asking for it to be abandoned. this is so annoying because it restricts the game a lot. there is no change in male charcters, no goblins, no monsters etc. why do people who hate ntr like it so much when the mc is an attractive guy who gets all the girls? they are fapping to something like this, alone in front of their pc and complain about cucking.
