Panchayath Jetty

edit

You have repeatedly removed a speedy deletion tag from the above article. As the author of the article, you are not allowed to remove the tag. I'm leaving the article as is without the tag only because I would have declined the tag had you not removed it. Nonetheless, your edits are a violation of policy. If I see you do this again, you risk being blocked.--Bbb23 (talk) 13:48, 25 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Is there anyway I can get this article reviewed? Its still pending review by an administrator. Editor8220 (talk) 14:46, 25 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
I don't know what you mean by "reviewed".--Bbb23 (talk) 14:48, 25 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
All newly created articles get reviewed by an administrator. This one I created has not got still. This one is pending an administrator review. Editor8220 (talk) 14:50, 25 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
I don't know where you got this idea from. Drafts are reviewed by editors as part of WP:AFC, but you published the article on your own. If you're talking about marking the article as "patrolled", that can be done by any editor with the NPP right, not necessarily administrators. See Wikipedia:New pages patrol for more information.--Bbb23 (talk) 14:56, 25 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Infobox Religion at Hinduism

edit

Hey, I see that you tried to advocate for an infobox at Hinduism but it was rejected due to many complexities. I was the pioneer in trying to start a discussion there over a year ago, and if you're open, I would love to work with you in an effort to design one which is sustainable. Let me know your thoughts! Pharaoh496 (talk) 08:31, 21 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your attention. The discussion regarding my attempt may have moved to archives, it is there. The problem raised by the main-handler of that page (who seems to have a top expertise in the topic) and some side standers includes:

1. The classifications and categorisations of parameters in Hinduism seems to be very much fluid, complex, having a broadband of options and some uncertainities to be in included or projected on an Infobox.

2. The Infobox for religion is tailored specifically for religions of abrahamic nature or religions which are tightly knit like Sikhism

3. All dharmic religions like Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism lacks an Infobox due to similar reasons. For Hinduism, it does not have a well-recognised apex body (like Vatican church for Christianity) to determine the A to B of the religion very specifically to be included in an Infobox, so its more like a loosely packed faith system with no centralisation or control, adding to the complexity it already has compared to all other faith systems on the planet.

4. I am no expert in this topic irrespective of a mere attempt, but unless we reach a consensus on an Infobox statisfying these common conflicts, I don't see a chance
Editor8220 (talk) 14:14, 21 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
Well, I propsose us working under the wraps trying to create a good infobox for Hinduism, before we see it fit for the issue to be raised again. We will spend as long as it takes - weeks or months before we can get a presentable draft. I aim to eventually establish one for Buddhism and Jainism too, Idts the infobox was created in mind only for dharmic religions. Pharaoh496 (talk) 22:17, 21 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
Go ahead and create a new sandbox page for this project, and share it here so we can try and work Pharaoh496 (talk) 22:18, 21 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
Dear friend, I appreciate your enthusiasm on contributing to the topic, but unfortunately I am having a lot of life problems (not having a job, age is already 25 and depression) and it costing me days and nights, So I am no longer having any free time until things settle for a moment.

Also I think we shouldn't bother much about not having an Infobox, as it points out the fact that "Hinduism is not something that can be wrapped into an Infobox" and thus a complex and voluminous faith system. Adding to this, I am no expert on the topic.

I see you are a student, So I recommend you to study hard, get a job and settle early in life, don't waste your time on this, a Wikipedia article on Hinduism isn't going to do any good or harm on the faith system itself, its upto its believer's. Editor8220 (talk) 02:19, 22 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
well then. Pharaoh496 (talk) 02:56, 22 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
