I nominate ImaginesTigers to be Editor of the Week for ...Their work with important and, by their hand, good articles.

Despite having not even been editing significantly for a year, ImaginesTigers has demonstrated a great inclination and willingness to support the website's blemishes. This nomination mostly follows their recent GA for Dracula – and their previous GA for The Odyssey. Both are two of history's most important pieces of literature - and until 'Tigers' involvement relative low points of Wikipedia. It's commendable, given the sheer scope of available information on those pieces of work, that they were able to correlate and compile a well-done collaborative article.

Ultimately, in his output, he represents a type of valuable editor who should be celebrated more. They put it best: "I specialise in the improvement of high-importance, high-traffic, low-quality articles". Thankfully, with their involvement, they're high-quality articles. DMT biscuit (talk) 15:38, 20 July 2021 (UTC)

:I heartily second this. A little oddly I awarded them a barnstar for their recent high quality FAC reviewing efforts only 94 minutes prior to the above nomination! I had awarded them an earlier one in February for taking League of Legends to FA, which also gained them a Million Award. I agree that they are just the sort of editor who should be encouraged. Gog the Mild (talk) 15:52, 20 July 2021 (UTC)

::An easy third from me. Tigers is, to boot, a helpful, kind, and supportive editor who helped me through a dark hour. –♠Vami_IV†♠ 09:44, 25 July 2021 (UTC)

This is the queue of accepted nominations. Clerks will add new accepted nominations at the bottom. The next Editor of the Week is taken from the top of the list.

I nominate Jon698 (talk · contribs · count · logs) for Editor of the Week because of their outstanding contributions to our coverage of American politics, but especially US State legislatures. I have personally bore witness to their dedication to the topic, trawling through thousands of Newspaper.com clippings, and their obvious interest and openness about the topic through conversing with them on the Discord server. On-wiki, he has several Good Articles to speak to the quality of his work, such as David Duke 1988 presidential campaign. He has made it his mission in the two years he's been actively editing to vastly improve our coverage of US State legislators, and has not disappointed. For that and his level-headed and humorous conducting of himself I wish to commend him. –♠Vami_IV†♠ 09:54, 25 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I nominate Blablubbs (talk · contribs · count · logs) for Editor of the Week for his outstanding work at SPI & WPOP, and his excellent content work. He's not a name that would be in anyone's long term memory since he only started editing last June, but you've probably seen him around somewhere. With 40k+ edits in one year, it's easy to assume that he just spent a lot of time reverting vandalism on Huggle, but that is far from the truth. Blablubbs mainly works as an SPI clerk, helping to analyze and manage sockpuppet investigations of all backgrounds and sizes. This is work which can involve hours of in-depth analysis of diffs and patterns, and can involve receiving talk page abuse and impersonation. He is consistently one of the most active SPI clerks if not the most active, and despite having to deal with LTAs, trolls, and disruptive users, is unfailingly civil and always approachable. Outside of SPI, Blablubbs is an excellent content creator, having translated three articles from German into eloquent and sophisticated English: Dachau camp trial, Hannibal (network), and Das Begräbnis, and expanded another three from existing stubs: Styles Hutchins, Wolfdietrich Schnurre, and Sandwich First Baptist Church (the last one as a collaboration with Spicy). His article contributions merited a Precious Award from Gerda Arendt. I believe that Blablubbs' experience, professionalism, and dedication make him a valuable asset to this project, and I hope you can join me in supporting him for this award.

Note that I'm actually User:Giraffer, but I'm nominating him on my alt account just to make sure he doesn't find out about this nomination prematurely, in case he looks at my main account's contribs. Giraffer (not) 21:17, 30 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Second this. Blablubbs has been doing amazing work. ProcrastinatingReader (talk) 11:19, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I nominate Richard3120 (talk · contribs · count · logs) for Editor of the Week. I first encountered him after I created a few articles about songs; I didn't previously have any experience editing articles about music, so I really appreciated his help in fixing things up. I've since learned that he's been editing music-related articles for more than a decade! Therefore, I think it would be a good idea to recognize his contributions (which is more than 80,000 edits!) to Wikipedia. Clovermoss (talk) 14:18, 15 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Since joining in late 2020, DanCherek (talk · contribs · count · logs) has quickly become a highly competent editor and a major net positive here. I first met him quickly and helpfully fulfilling requests at the resource exchange and have since seen him around frequently. He is a major asset in copyright cleanup, countervandalism, and distinguishes himself with kind and competent answers to questions. Dan is also a prolific content writer, with four GAs and one featured list and forty-seven high quality DYK articles-- and many new articles on women in red. Dan somehow does it all, and does it all well! Eddie891 Talk Work 13:25, 20 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I definitely appreciate him and his work! Seconded heartedly! ~Gwennie🐈💬 📋15:30, 26 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I nominate Sennecaster (talk · contribs · count · logs) for Editor of the Week because of her outstanding, project-altering work in the field of copyright cleanup. She is a newer editor, but has already become a CCI clerk, inspected hundreds if not thousands of edits, certainly the same amount of articles, and been the beaming heart and core of the renaissance at CCI. She has also contributed to this Project in other areas, such as at WP:3O, and being a spokesperson for the faction of editors engaging in cleaning up copyright violations. –♠Vami_IV†♠ 10:04, 1 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I nominate CaffeinAddict (talk · contribs · count · logs) for Editor of the Week due to their extensive edits improving coverage of the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada. They've made more than 1,400 edits to the COVID-19 pandemic in Ontario article in particular, and hundreds of edits across other COVID-19 related articles. I've seen them dutifully updating this content for months now, and I think that they deserve recognition for this. Clovermoss (talk) 15:31, 8 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I am more than happy to nominate Diannaa (talk · contribs · count · logs). Her article work features multiple million and half million awards, plus enough copyediting to land her in the GOCE Hall of Fame. But more prominently, and possibly what other editors see the most, is her copyright work spanning over a decade. She does this with endless patience, civility, and knowledge. It is basically policy in copyright to ask Diannaa if we struggle with anything. She rules the CopyPatrol leaderboard, with over 85,000 closed cases, and had done significant work on multiple cases at CCI. She is an editor and admin that many people, including myself, respect and even aspire to be like. Sennecaster (Chat) 17:19, 24 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Seconded for all the excellent reasons given above. firefly ( t · c ) 17:22, 24 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Absolutely support, per all the reasons above. — Berrely • TalkContribs 08:16, 25 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I nominate Bryanrutherford0 (talk · contribs · count · logs) to be Editor of the Week for their behind the scenes work maintaining the Wikipedia:Good articles lists. Among other tasks, they have been monitoring and fixing the Wikipedia:Good articles/mismatches page since March 2020. Such a background task is hard to notice and almost never remarked upon, but is a key part in keeping everything ticking along. This is in addition to participation in the Featured and Good topics space, and of course to their content contributions.

CMD (talk) 03:29, 28 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Seconded-- great work on thankless maintenance tags, but also spectacular content creation efforts. Eddie891 Talk Work 21:08, 28 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I nominate HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk · contribs · count · logs) to be Editor of the Week for her efforts in creating new articles and her admin actions. Commonly, this editor is quiet and doesn't draw attention to herself, but not always, as, for example, she participated in the Women in Red panel at Wikimania 2021. At 81K+ edits, HickoryOughtShirt plugs along in true wiki fashion, building the encyclopedia. I admire what she does and how she does it; ergo, I am nominating her for this award. Rosiestep (talk) 17:31, 28 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I second the nomination. With over 1,000 articles created, clearly HickoryOughtShirt is a valuable member of the community. SusunW (talk) 21:01, 28 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to nominate Trainsandotherthings (talk · contribs · count · logs) for their dedication to rail-related articles and content creation. Having only started their account in July, this editor has created over a dozen articles and has contributed to scores more. I feel they are dedicated and deserve commendation for their service to the project, especially considering they are a newbie. ~Gwennie🐈💬 📋21:41, 5 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It gives me great joy to nominate Giraffer (talk · contribs · count · logs) to be Editor of the Week. With strength in both content creation and administrative work, Giraffer has become one of our very best editors over the last year and a half. Giraffer's content work includes Social media in the 2016 United States presidential election, an article of major importance which he brought to GA. He shines even more on the administrative and anti-abuse front; as a CU, I can attest that he is one of the most dedicated, prolific, and competent sockpuppet investigations filers including in such complex filings as Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Sanketio31. Giraffer is especially skilled at finding and responding to cases of ongoing abuse from sophisticated actors seeking to exploit Wikipedia's vulnerabilities; in many cases, without Giraffer's work, significant cases of ongoing abuse would have gone undetected. We've all benefited from his work. Best, KevinL (aka L235 · t · c) 06:14, 8 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Seconded, for all the reasons given above, but with particular emphasis on the Sanketio31 filing. firefly ( t · c ) 08:55, 8 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
